The Product: Rhino bug ceramic wall art sculpture
An elegant ceramic wall art plaque celebrating the rather charming rhinoceros beetle in all it’s armoured glory. The beetle is displayed against a stylish, architecturally-inspired ceramic plaque. Hence the chic, neutral, white-on-white tones will work in interiors both classic and modern.
This is another piece from the Bangkok potter Karin Phisolyabut and his Yarnnakarn ceramics studio, whose work illustrates a nostalgia for and fascination with the flora and fauna of woodland creatures in the West – a world away from the crazy, bustling Asian city where these wonderful reincarnations are conceived of and created.
Combine this beautifully rendered rhino bug ceramic art with an eclectic mix of pictures in both slim and box-framed for depth and visual contrast of both silhouette and material. We included this charming artistic creation in our destination-inspired edit because it reminds of rural hedgerows, woodland walks and parkland bug hunts. The wildlife that inhabits our local landscapes is just as much a reminder of places dear to us all, as architectural feats, cultural aesthetics and terrain.
The plaque measures approximately 29.5cm x 19.5cm x 8cm projection. The wall plaque is quite heavy so fasten securely to the wall with a strong nail or screw that fits snugly the hole in the ceramic on the reverse.
