A natty addition to any sports or weekend jacket and suitable for him or her, these Chinese indigo resist-printed scarves are artisan-made in China by a master dyer using ancient methods. An age-old textile dye rich in colour and history, indigo is a natural plant dye and textiles will characteristically fade with age – much like denim. Indeed vintage indigo textiles are prized for their softer handle and subtler, more characterful appearance.
This scarf is made of 100% calico cotton and measures 38cm wide x 170cm long with frayed edges. Gently hand wash with cold water and a light detergent and line dry before wearing, to remove any excess dye. Due to the natural processes involved in their manufacture and the ethical practices of our supplier, Blue Handed, this product can be considered a sustainable fashion item.
