The Product: Yellow Chinese motif wallpaper
A bold, new sunshine yellow and turquoise wallpaper by interior designer Fleur Ward of Ohh! The Lowdown
The designer has juxtaposed function and frivolity whilst celebrating the aesthetic similarities of unfurled sails and a pleated fan. The English name ‘Junk’ comes from the Javanese word ‘Djong’ which translates as ‘ship’ or ‘large vessel’.
Styling Ideas?
When we first spied this wallpaper print at a trade fair, we were drawn to the modernity of the design and the pop culture colourways. Our hands-down favourite has to be this quirky yellow and turquoise option. It’s a brilliant choice for a cloakroom. It would simply have to cover every wall and possibly even the ceiling. It would also work well as a feature wall in an entrance hall. A vibrant ‘meet and greet’ for your guests. The Detail
The yellow Chinoiserie wallpaper comes on a 10m long roll, measures 52cm wide. The horizontal repeat is 26cm. The vertical repeat is 24cm.
